In 2018, I dove deep into my online persona, UltraPrimal, and carved out my place on YouTube by making the commitment to post a brand new video every day for 365 days.
I have now completed this journey and I’ve come out better, stronger, and more confident than before. This crucible of video production has made me better at managing my time and forced me think more creatively and seize opportunity when it comes along.
There were times I was late. There were times I wanted to give up. But most of the time I really enjoyed making content for people to see. And I always strove to produce the best content I could.
It was a lot of hard work, but after a year, I’ve been rewarded by making it to over 1000 subscribers and well over 4000 watch hours. Meaning that I am now eligible for the YouTube Partnership Programme. I’m obviously not going to be making much money just yet, but it is my dream for the future that I can keep growing until I can live off making YouTube.
Although, certainly not through YouTube alone. This year, I’ll be endeavoring to solidify and monetize my brand while ever improving the quality of my work.
It’s great to finally prove to everyone who doubted me, including myself, that I can make it on YouTube. I may not have a million subscribers yet, but some day. Sooner or later.
